Discrete Democracy: Between Real Participation, Imitation, and Authoritarian Control

Contemporary political science traditionally treats democracy as a stable state of the political regime of the same name. It presupposes not only the holding of elections, but also the permanent existence of mechanisms of public participation: the activity of parties, political competition, freedom of expression, public oversight, the possibility of peaceful protest, and regular interaction between citizens and state institutions.

قال روسلان بورتنيك، المستشار السابق في البرلمان الأوكراني ومدير المعهد الأوكراني للسياسة، إن الضربات الأوكرانية واسعة النطاق بالطائرات المسيرة ضد مناطق خلفية وأهداف عسكرية داخل العمق الروسي لا يمكن أن توقف القوات الروسية على الجبهة بشكل تلقائي أو فوري، موضحًا أن تأثيرها العسكري يحتاج إلى وقت حتى يظهر، وقد يصبح ملموسًا على خطوط المواجهة إذا تمكنت كييف من مواصلة هذه العمليات والحفاظ على تفوقها في قدرات الضربات متوسطة وبعيدة المدى لمدة ستة أشهر على الأقل.
