The results of the Global Peace Summit, which took place this weekend in Switzerland (15-16 June), suggest that Ukraine and its allies can begin the negotiation process and are creating the necessary conditions. The summit was organized with the support of Ukraine's European allies, including the leaders of the European Commission, as well as Germany, France, the Netherlands, and other countries. However, the event took place in partial accordance with Ukraine's plans.

In Ukraine, a significant deficit in the energy system continues to exist; because of this, the country has introduced long-term emergency and planned power outages. As Ukrenergo reported, this situation is the result of 6 targeted air attacks by the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian energy system. From the end of March 2024 to the beginning of June, Russian troops destroyed more than 9 GW of capacity in the Ukrainian energy system.

Against the backdrop of intensifying geopolitical confrontation between the global South East (PRC and the Russian Federation) and the global North West (USA and allies), processes continue in Ukraine: to increase the length of the front line, new military aid packages are being received, and there is also a further depletion of Ukrainian infrastructure (mobilization is intensifying, electricity prices are rising, etc.).

At the front, the main battles continue in the Donetsk direction. In Avdiivka, the Russians captured the settlement of Keramik, the settlement of Novokalynovo, and the settlement of Ocheretyno, settlement Arkhangelske. Russian troops also advanced northwest of the village. Ocheretyno and advance in the village of Novoaleksandrivka.

After months of fighting over foreign aid, the US Congress finally passed a new $95 billion funding package for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan. The package also included a provision that would require TikTok to either sell the social media app or face a ban and the transfer of confiscated Russian assets in favor of Ukraine.

On the front, the Russian Federation continues its offensive in 12 directions, slowly pushing the Ukrainian troops to the north and west. It is how the Russian Armed Forces are trying to develop the main offensive in the Donetsk region. The situation is especially difficult for the AFU east of Chasov Yar in the Bakhmut direction and near the villages of Berdychi and Uman in the Avdiivka direction.
